This week, our sweet babes Selena and Dapple hit the road and officially landed themselves in their forever home — TOGETHER — in the Midwest! 🏡💛

After years of waiting, being part of our 90 Dog Fiancé Fostering Program, and eventually coming back to Louisiana… their perfect people finally found them.

These two have been through so much, and seeing them start this next chapter side by side is everything we’ve dreamed of for them.

We’ll miss their sweet faces, but our hearts are full knowing they’re exactly where they’re meant to be.

🐾🐱 Kajun Kitties Update! 🐱🐾

This month has been all about preparing for kitten season — and it’s officially begun! We’ve already welcomed our first tiny arrival of the season:
✨ Meet Astro!
This sweet 4-week-old kitten was found alone in the middle of the road over the weekend. Thankfully, a kind person spotted him and reached out to us for help. Astro is now safe and being cared for by one of our amazing bottle feeders 💛

In the meantime, we’ve continued our TNR (Trap-Neuter-Return) efforts to help control the cat population in our parish. We’ve had so many compassionate folks reach out about stray cats in their neighborhoods — they’re caring for them, but just need help getting them fixed. That’s where we come in!

Our Kajun Kitties program continues to grow, and with your support, we’re able to help both long-term resident cats andunexpected little surprises like Astro.

Carrot & Apple Frozen Treats 🥕🍏❄️

Ingredients:

- ½ cup grated carrot 🥕

- ½ cup unsweetened applesauce 🍏

- 1 cup plain yogurt 🥛

Instructions:

1. Blend all ingredients until smooth.

2. Pour the mixture into silicone molds or an ice cube tray.

3. Freeze for at least 3 hours or until solid.

4. Serve as a refreshing treat for your pup!

Storage:

Keep frozen in an airtight container for up to 2 months.
