This Weeks Rescues

From M2: This beautiful husky mix was around a neighborhood for a few days and animal control tried getting her but she was too timid. The ACO asked for me to keep a look out and I spotted her when I was leaving a vet apt, so I stopped and realized she was staying near a house that had a male lab and the house next door because the carport had shade. I tried a few times getting close by using the good Samaritan’s lab and a dog from our rescue, she would get close but then would spook. So I decided that the next best and calmest thing to do was to get our trap and move it to the shades area she was laying. After letting her settle hiding behind the carport she finally went into the trap and we caught her. She was extremely smart and went in the trap a few times prior without even setting it off.
She is very timid right now and will need to decompress some before I can really work with her. I am going to DNA test her hopefully tomorrow to see what exactly she is.

Bambalina
From Jenna: About a month ago, we got a call from one of our old neighbors at our former location on Claiborne. They let us know that a mama Chiweenie and her baby had been dumped there. 💔
Jenna and Kyle rushed over and were able to catch the puppy pretty quickly. She was in rough shape — covered in fleas and battling internal parasites. Thankfully, Jenna’s daughter Amelia stepped in right away, gave her a bath, and painstakingly picked every single flea off of her. This sweet little girl has been named Churro. Amelia is in love with her!🐾❤️

baby Churro
Mama dog, now named Bambalina, on the other hand, was much more of a challenge. She wanted nothing to do with us and found safety hiding out in the nearby junkyard. We set traps and kept trying to earn her trust. Slowly but surely, thanks to a lot of patience (and some kind-hearted guys who work there), she finally let her guard down enough for us to catch her this week!
She’s still decompressing, but she’s safe, she’s loved, and she’s doing great. We’re excited to get to know her better as she continues to settle in. Thank you to everyone who helped make this rescue possible — it truly takes a village. 💕
Stay tuned for more updates on Bambalina and sweet little Churro!

🚨 WE NEED FOSTER HOMES! 🚨
We're currently looking for amazing foster families to help us give these deserving animals a safe and loving place to land. If you’ve ever thought about fostering, now’s the time! ❤️
🌟 Why You Should Foster with Us! 🌟
Thinking about fostering? Here’s why it’s one of the most rewarding things you can do:
🏡 Give Them a Safe Place to Land:
Shelter life can be overwhelming — a foster home offers comfort, safety, and a real chance to heal and grow.
🐾 Help Them Shine:
In a loving home, animals show their true personalities, making it even easier to find the perfect forever family.
🎯 Personalized Care:
Whether it’s basic training, special medical needs, or just extra snuggles, you’ll be helping them get ready for their next chapter.
🐶 Save More Lives:
Every foster home opens up a shelter space for another animal in need. You’re truly doubling your impact!
💖 Feel the Joy:
Watching a scared or shy animal grow confident and happy — and knowing you played a part — is one of the most amazing feelings in the world.
Fostering changes lives — theirs and yours.
Become a foster hero today!
This is a volunteer opportunity (but you do get a 90 Dog Fiance t-shirt!) and we cover ALL expenses for our dog. If anyone is interested, please email us, and we will send you an application so that we can get to know more about your situation and hopefully make the right match!
Please reach out if you're in the Midwest or East Coast and can open your heart and home.
(And feel free to share — you might help us find their perfect temporary home!)

Adoptable Senior Spotlight
All dogs featured in this section are apart of our Senior Dog Program which means: all dogs adoption fees are covered and all of their medical care is covered for life.

Meet Geronimo:
Geronimo is an old man now at 10 1/2 years old, and even though his body is slowing down, he is NOT! If he could spend his entire day in the water swimming and jumping in after the ball, he would! He lives for the water just like your typical lab. He loves toys and going for car rides. Geronimo is confident but also very laid back.
He is not fond of other dogs in his space, he wants to be the only apple of your eye. He has the sweetest soul and gentlest personality. Geronimo loves to please his person and will sit and give paw. He also, loves to pick up his empty food bowl in his mouth after he’s done eating and holds it just looking at you to try and guilt you into giving him more. Sometimes we fall for it just because he’s got the puppy dog eyes down pat!
Geronimo just wants his own home with a comfy couch and a pool in the backyard he can get in anytime he wants would be the icing on the cake!

🥞 Adopt Breakfast! 🥞
I know, I know — you see me post about her often… but this senior sweetheart is STILL waiting for her forever home! 💔
Breakfast has an energetic, spunky personality that’ll light up your whole day. She loves being with her people, whether it’s for a car ride (she’s a pro passenger 🚗💨) or just hanging out soaking up love. She is great with kids!
She’s the perfect mix of sass and sweetness — and she deserves a cozy home to call her own.
Let’s find Breakfast the family she’s been waiting for.

If you are able to donate toward our community TNR efforts, it would make a huge difference! Every contribution helps us save lives and manage this colony humanely. Thank you so much for your support!
