🎉🐾 This Week’s Happy Tails Goes to… Bronze! 🐾🎉

Our sweet boy Bronze has officially found his forever! Now known as Junior, he was adopted by one of our amazing repeat adopters who made the incredible drive all the way from Pennsylvania to Louisiana just to bring him home. 🛣️💙

It’s stories like this that remind us what rescue is all about — dedication, second chances, and families who go the extra mile (literally!) for love.

Adopt Chief — He’s Been Let Down Too Many Times 💔🏡

Meet Chief — a sweet soul who’s been through it. A couple of years ago, someone left him tied to our fence. When we scanned his microchip, we learned the heartbreaking truth:
It was his third time being dumped. 😞💔

Despite it all, Chief is still holding out hope for a forever home — and he’s desperately craving that connection. Once he knows he’s safe and won’t be abandoned again, Chief becomes incredibly loyal and loving.

At Villalobos Rescue Center, we are dedicated to provide lifelong care and love to dogs and cats that face significant medical or behavioral challenges , making them unlikely candidates for adoption. Our Sponsorship Program offers a meaningful way for our supporters to contribute to the well-being of these “lifers” through monthly donations. While becoming a sponsor, you help us with the essential care, as well as medical costs.

🚨🐱 Kajun Kitties: Kitten Rescue Alert! 🐱🚨
This week, we got a call about a litter of kittens living inside the engine of an elderly woman's car. Without hesitation, M2, Danielle, Country Jenna, and Jenny grabbed supplies and rushed over to help.

Thanks to some quick thinking and teamwork, Mariah was able to safely get three kittens out of the car. Meanwhile, Mama Cat and at least one kitten had taken cover under the house. With some patience and a little luck, we were able to trap Mom and one more kitten. The kind homeowner is keeping an eye out for any others who may still be hiding.

The kittens are about 6 weeks old and already eating on their own. Mama Cat will be heading in this week to be TNR’d (Trap-Neuter-Return) — and she's not alone. There are several other cats in the area that need to be fixed too.

🐟🧀 Tuna & Cheese Dog Treats 🧀🐟
Want to make your pup something special (and super simple)? Try these homemade treats your dog will drool over!

You’ll need:
• 1 can tuna in water (drained)
• 1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese
• 1 cup oat flour

Instructions:

Preheat oven to 350°F

Drain the tuna and flake it up

Mix tuna, cheese, and oat flour until it forms a dough

Roll it out and cut into fun biscuit shapes

Place on a parchment-lined baking sheet

Bake for 15–20 minutes, or until golden brown

Let cool before treating your favorite good boy or girl! 🐶💕
